Our Story
Two Olives grew from a moment of deep reflection, the kind that makes you stop and really examine your life. After years working as a designer and building brands for others, I realized I wanted to create something of my own. Something personal. Something lasting. Something my children could be part of and grow up seeing as part of the life we built together.
Through that journey of self-discovery, Two Olives was born.
I grew up in Vermont, where most of my childhood was spent outdoors on my grandparents’ farm. We picked strawberries straight from the field, climbed apple trees, chased fireflies until dark, and helped in the garden without thinking twice about it. One of my earliest memories is picking green beans beside my great-grandfather and learning how much care it takes to grow something with your own two hands.
Those years shaped me more than I realized at the time. They taught me to notice the small details, to appreciate nature, and to find joy in creating something real.
Creativity runs deep in my family. My grandmother had a gift for making everything around her beautiful, from her gardens to her paintings to the way she set a table. My Aunt Amy gave me my first jewelry kit as a child, sparking a love for designing and making that never left me. From an early age, I learned that creating, growing, and giving meaningful gifts are all ways of showing love and shaping who we are.
I went on to build a career as a graphic designer, drawn to color, texture, and composition, but over time I realized I missed working with my hands. I wanted to get back to the root of what first inspired me, making tangible things, experimenting, and creating pieces that feel natural and organic, inspired by the textures, contrast, and asymmetrical balance you see in nature.
Two Olives grew from that place.
The seeds included with each piece come from those early memories. Growing up on the farm taught me that there is something special about planting something, caring for it, and watching it grow. It is a simple act, but it keeps you connected to nature, to your roots, and to the people who taught you those values in the first place.
The name Two Olives comes from my children, Olivia and Oliver, my two olives, my greatest inspiration and the reason I finally took the leap to build something of my own. This brand is my way of creating something that lasts, something grounded in gratitude, creativity, and the belief that even the smallest things can grow into something meaningful.
Two Olives is more than jewelry. It is a return to what matters most, family, nature, creativity, and the stories that shape who we are.
Seeds of Inspiration
These are the people and memories that shaped my story along the way.
After school every day I took the bus to my grandparents farm. My cousin and I played outside until dark picking strawberries, climbing trees, making mazes in the cornfield, collecting eggs and chasing fireflies. It was a childhood of freedom and discovery, where every day brought something new. Those moments shaped my love for the outdoors and my desire for my children to grow up with the same sense of wonder and connection to nature.

Betty Boop
I called my grandmother Betty ‘Betty Boop.’ She had a gift for creating beautiful things — gardens, paintings, writing poetry, styling holiday tables and centerpieces, and finding the perfect gift for each of us, filled with meaning. She showed me that creativity can be an act of love, and her gardens inspired my lifelong love of flowers and plants.
My Aunt Amy — “Mamie” to me — taught me to make earrings as a kid and gave me my first jewelry kit for Christmas one year, planting the seed of a lifelong love for creating. She had a natural grace and a knack for styling and decorating spaces. Kind and encouraging, she was always the first to notice and appreciate the little details others might overlook. The beads in our collections are my way of honoring her and the creativity and gratitude she inspired in me.

Grandpa Lockerby
My great-grandfather, Grandpa Lockerby, had a soft spot for me. He always welcomed me with flowers from his garden, and one of my earliest memories is picking green beans by his side. His love for the land, and the way he made even simple moments feel special, left an imprint on me — teaching me that joy can be found in both nature and togetherness.
