Our Metals
Two Olives pieces are made with elevated, skin-safe metals designed to look luxurious, wear beautifully, and last.
Most inexpensive jewelry uses thin gold plating over brass — a finish that can wear off within weeks or months, often causing tarnish, green skin, and irritation. We choose metals that avoid all of that and deliver true longevity.
Our gold pieces are crafted with gold-filled findings and chains. Gold-filled carries a thick, pressure-bonded layer of real gold that lasts for decades, stays bright, and is naturally hypoallergenic. It gives you the richness of gold without the solid-gold price tag — and without the fading or skin reactions associated with cheap plating.
Our clasps are vermeil, which is a substantial layer of gold over fine silver. Vermeil offers a luxurious gold tone and the integrity of a precious-metal base. Over time, its finish softens gracefully, wearing into a warm, natural champagne hue rather than flaking or discoloring.
For our silver pieces, we use fine silver, which is purer than traditional sterling. Fine silver is naturally hypoallergenic, brighter, softer in color, and less prone to tarnish — a cleaner, elevated choice for everyday wear.
